Transport Modeller



This company is an independent Transportation Consultancy, with an international presence.



The Edinburgh office has a requirement for a dynamic, highly motivated Transportation Modeller with a minimum of 3 years experience in Paramics/VISSIM to undertake a good variety of high profile national and international projects.



Candidates will have a relevant transportation degree or equivalent and have good experience in microsimulation, with key skills in S-Paramics or Q-Paramics (or similar) and a good understanding of industry calibration and validation standards. Some experience in training staff would be beneficial, but this is not essential. Candidates should also have experience of and be capable of managing and delivering simulation projects, and have the ability to work to deadlines.



The successful candidate will be part of a small, successful team working on high profile microsimulation projects, which will involve development of highway and urban model development.



Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which will enable the successful candidate to liaise effectively within the company and with their UK and overseas clients.
